How to Reduce High Cholesterol

So just what exactly is cholesterol and what does it do? Actually, cholesterol isn't all bad. You see, we have "lipids" or in layman’s terms, fats, throughout the body and cholesterol is a form of lipid. This waxy substance, produced by the liver, is used to repair the cell walls of the body and the amount our bodies produce in the 1000 mgs is enough for the body requirement. The cholesterol problem starts when we supplement the bodies natural lipid production with extra cholesterol from outside the body. This results in high cholesterol which is a sign of possible pending heart disease and goes hand in hand with obesity.
